The Cougar Fund Educational Workshop

All are invited to join The Cougar Fund with special guest BearWise Jackson Hole from 2-5pm for a fun, free, and family-friendly afternoon out on the Teton Village Commons! While mountain lions are The Cougar Fund's founding passion, they also support sound science for all of the valley's native large carnivores. Come learn with us and our friends at The Cougar Fund and BearWise.

With fall hyperphagia right around the corner, local bears are on a massive hunt for calories to prepare for winter hibernation. This event is packed with activities to help you be smarter than a bear and keep our local wildlife wild.

Fun Family Activities

• Take the 100-Yard Challenge: Think you can outrun a bear? Run our 100-yard course to time your own sprint, then line up again to find out exactly where a bear would catch up to you. It is the ultimate eye-opener on why you never run from a bear!
• Crafts for Kids: We have adorable bear masks for the little ones to cut out and take home!
• The "Bear Charger" Simulator: Test your reflexes against a fast-moving, remote-controlled mechanical bear using inert practice spray.
• Don't Invite a Bear to Your BBQ: Learn how to spot the hazards yourself! Practice identifying attractants so you can keep your backyard or campsite safe, secure, and clean, ensuring bears keep eating bear food in their own homes.

All are invited to join us for Cougar Fund Happy Hour at Corsa following the event from 5-6pm where 10% of proceeds made will directly benefit The Cougar Fund.
